JARDINE (Birmingham) were formed with members from a line-up of Robert Plant's band The Band of Joy when Robert left and later joined Led Zeppelin. Guitarist/vocalist Keith Law was previously in a Walsall group called Love and Understanding. Paint performed original songs mixed with well known R&B and blues numbers. The group appeared at schools, colleges, and U.S. and R.A.F. bases, often as the main band, and also as support to bands at the time such as Slade. Other local venues performed at by this band included The Eagle, The Ship and Rainbow, The Hen and Chickens, The Plazas, The Woolpack, and The George Hotel, Walsall. The group also recorded tracks for Les Reeds 'Chapter One' label. The group's guitarist Keith Law composed original songs that were recorded by the psychedelic Brum band Velvett Fogg in 1969. 1.
