In The Sky 7 Dr Mark Freuder Knopfler, OBE, (ur. 12 sierpnia 1949 w Glasgow), szkocki gitarzysta, kompozytor i wokalista, przed rozpoczęciem kariery muzycznej pracował także jako dziennikarz i wykładowca. Jest najbardziej znany jako lider zespołu Dire Straits, ale grał także z innymi zespołami (przede wszystkim Notting Hillbillies) i artystami (między innymi Chet Atkins, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, Bob Dylan). Jest także kompozytorem muzyki filmowej do licznych filmów. Jest kawalerem Orderu Imperium Brytyjskiego. La pochette est illustrée par une peinture de 1958 de John Bratby.
